Say Cheese!

I just LOVE this little face and this sweet little boy! He always gives me the biggest smiles in his highchair....someone must really like to eat!

I'm so blessed to be his mother! 

Sweet Baby Brynlee!

Last week Gavin and I headed down to Arkansas to visit my good friend Jessi who just had a baby girl named Brynlee on May 10th. She was SO SWEET and so tiny....she was only 6 lbs. 1 oz. Gavin was NEVER that small, plus her head was normal sized and his was HUGE (still is)! Anyways, we stopped in Joplin on the way to visit my friend Nicole and her kids Addalyn and Aaden. They came with us to visit Jessi and Brynlee. So, Gavin and Addalyn are only 4 1/2 months apart and so cute together. We caught them holding hands in the back seat together on the way to visit Jessi and Brynlee....it was so precious! (the picture is not the best quality, but you get the idea)

 Gavin was the only boy, and we thought he might have felt out of place. So, we wanted him to fit in and see just how cute of a "girl" he would be! LOL He was not a fan of the bow! 

The last night we were there, we decided to throw all the kids together for a fun bath night! 

Happy Mother's Day

Today, I'm so thankful for my sweet little boy Gavin! He has given me the best gift ever....the gift of being a mother! The day Gavin was born I finally realized how much my mother loved me! The moment I held him in my arms for the first time is when I understood her love for me!  She has shown me what it means to be a mom and how to love unconditionally. Happy Mother's Day Gigi....we love you!

Becoming a mother is one of the best moments in my life! I look at Gavin everyday and thank God he was given to us. This is my first mothers day and I'm spending the day celebrating the happiness that this little guy brings to my life. I love you Gavin Bo and I am so blessed to be your mother! 

Briggs and Gavin!

Last week we made a trip up to Des Moines to visit my friend Megan and her son Briggs. Briggs is 18 months and is as cute as can be! Gavin loved watching Briggs and I think Briggs got a big kick out of Gavin too. The weather was not as nice as we had hoped, but we did take the boys for stroller rides at the mall and for donuts at "Dunkin Donuts"

The two boys were so cute one morning all snuggled up together on the couch before nap time....who could resist these two little munchkins! I could just kiss them all day!!

Spring has Sprung!

WE LOVE WARM WEATHER!!! Finally, it feels like spring is here. I have been looking forward to spring and summer now that Gavin is older....there are so many fun things to do outside and he loves being outside (like most kids). We have been trying to take daily stroller rides and trips to park when we can. We hope all of you are enjoying the warm weather as much as we are.

Gavin is 9 Months

Wow.....time is going by too fast. I can't believe our little man is 9 months already. It truly has been nine months of bliss! Everyday we watch our little man explore and discover new things....he wakes up happy and excited to see what is in store for him for the day. Gavin has discovered so many new things in the past month....one being FOOD! He is trying lots of table food and he is liking what he is trying. I don't think there is anything that he has refused to try so far, which is great and we hope will continue. Gavin also has discovered how to wave "by-by" and speak in his own language. We love to listen to him "giber-jaber". Some of my favorite memories in the last nine months are the times I spend nursing Gavin. He has discovered my face while nursing. He loves to try and put his fingers in my mouth and will giggle and laugh as I pretend to bit or suck on his fingers. He also has discovered that his fingers are the perfect fit inside my nostrils, and most recently he has discovered my eyelashes. He loves to rub his little fingers up and down on my eyelashes. Everyday I look forward to our time together nursing and just love looking into his big blues eye!

Gavin is still nursing 4 times a day and eats three meals a day. He loves bananas, avocado, beans, and cheese to name a few. He takes two naps a day each about an hour and half and sleeps through the night. He goes to bed around 7:30 and starts the day bright and early at 6:30. We could not ask for a better son....it is perfect in every way! Happy 9 months Gavin, we love you!
