A New Year 2015: January

Well, it is 2015, so cheers to a new year with new and exciting adventures! We had a fairly low-key New Year's this year spending time with great friends! So here is the run down on our January.....

New Year's Eve with Friends

Cheers: The kiddos are finally in bed! LOL

Our Big Exciting News: Gavin is going to be a BIG brother! We are extremely thankful that God is blessing us with another child in June. He picked the perfect time to bring sweet Gavin into our lives and now he has picked the perfect time to bring sweet baby #2 into our lives. So, far I have been feeling great and I'm so thankful for that! I don't take that for granted! We just keep praying that I will continue to have a healthy pregnancy!

Here is our announcement that we shared with our family over Thanksgiving.

 January's Belly Picture.....16 Weeks Pregnant (January 11th, 2015)

Here is a glimpse of our sweet baby at 8 weeks.  I can't wait to hold, kiss and snuggle you!

Potty Training: Yep....it is time! We started potty training Gavin this month and he has done great! We had a few accidents the first 4 days, but after that it has been smooth sailing! He started out only using his little potty, but now mainly goes in the big potty! He still is wearing a diaper for nighttime (mainly because I'm not sure if he can hold it all night long yet). However, he has been starting to wake up dry a few mornings. So, maybe by the time we switch him to his big boy bed he can be diaper free at night.

He enjoys bringing his toys with him and checking out his progress!

A few potty treats to keep him motivated!

A visit from Great Grandma Olson and Gigi: Since we did not make it back to Waterloo for Christmas, my mom and grandma came down for a quick visit/ mini Christmas celebration.

He couldn't wait to open up his gifts!

More trains.....his favorite

Us girls out on a lunch date.....don't worry my bloody mary was virgin!

First Possible Scar: Yep, he was running around being silly and of course fell into the end table. He somehow bit down on his lip and split it wide open! Luckily, we did not need to go to the ER or get stitches, but he may have a scar across the bottom of his lip.

Music Class: We still are attending music class once or twice a month and I just wanted to get a few snap shots. The older he gets the more he seems to really enjoy the class.

A visit from Great Grandpa/Grandma Doerr: It is always nice when family comes to visit. Gavin does not get to see his great grandparents very often, so he sure did enjoy spending time with them. Mom and dad even got a date night one night. Another plus was that Gramps went and got us donuts every morning!
