Gabe is One Month Old 8/4/15: Our sweet little (not so little) boy is one month already! Weighing in at 12lbs 8oz. and 22.5 inches long. He is 95% for both. He has been a great baby so far. He sleeps from about 8pm to 7am only waking once to eat! He pretty much eats and sleeps all day.....so "sleeping like a baby". I have been every blessed that he has been such a great nurser and sleeper. He also smiled for the first time right at 4 weeks for daddy!
Gavin's 3rd Birthday 8/6/15: I can't believe my little man is 3, wow time really does fly by!! I feel like he is such a little man now and no longer so babyish....I'm sure Gabe as something to do with that feeling. We decided to celebrate Gavin's "actual birthday" again this year by starting our morning out at Dunkin Donuts with our besties Isaac and Jennifer followed by a trip to the KC Zoo again.
What birthday isn't complete with out presents and cake (well cookies in this case)
Our Birthday Boy!
Weight and Hight: 33lbs and 37 inches Tall.
Hair and Eyes: He is still my blonde, blue eyed baby!
Favorite Foods: Loves all sweets!! Crazy for ice cream and marshmallows. Enjoys dipping his meat and veggies in ranch! I said I would never be that mom that lets her kid's eat ranch with veggies....well I'm that mom! Overall he is a great eater and loves all fruits and veggies.
Favorite Things: Loves anything "Dusty" from Planes Fire and Rescue and Thomas the train. Loves going for tractor and gator rides with Grandpa "D". Running around the circle in the house and being chased is a daily activity. He also really enjoys reading bedtime stories in his new big boy bed at night..."snuggle puppy" is a favorite.
Wake-up & Bedtime: He is wake at 7am!!! We still shoot for bedtime at 8pm (8:30/9pm in the summer).
Naps: He is still takes great naps, however they have started in the last month to decrease in time. Generally goes down around 12:30/1pm and sleep until 3pm.
Accomplishments: He was fully potty trained at 2.5 yrs. He is such a sweet big brother and helps me with Gabe. He loves to do just about everything "himself" he tells me all the time he is a big boy and he can do it!
Gavin Facts: The best way to describe Gavin is sweet and silly! He is such a joy to be around and makes my vocation as a mother worth everything second!

We had Gavin's party on the 8th, which happens to be my grandma's actual birthday. So, Gavin wanted to give his great-grandma something special to say "happy birthday"

Gavin's Pool Party and Gabe's Baptism: This year we decided to have Gavin's birthday party the same weekend as Gabe's baptism to save on travel time for everyone. We knew we wanted Gabe to be baptized at St. Francis in West Des Moines just like Gavin. So, we decided to throw a pool party at the hotel the Saturday night before the baptism. It worked out great because everyone was able to come celebrate with us....we really do have an amazing family!
