Gavin is still nursing 4 times a day and eats three meals a day. He loves bananas, avocado, beans, and cheese to name a few. He takes two naps a day each about an hour and half and sleeps through the night. He goes to bed around 7:30 and starts the day bright and early at 6:30. We could not ask for a better son....it is perfect in every way! Happy 9 months Gavin, we love you!

Gavin is 9 Months
Wow.....time is going by too fast. I can't believe our little man is 9 months already. It truly has been nine months of bliss! Everyday we watch our little man explore and discover new things....he wakes up happy and excited to see what is in store for him for the day. Gavin has discovered so many new things in the past month....one being FOOD! He is trying lots of table food and he is liking what he is trying. I don't think there is anything that he has refused to try so far, which is great and we hope will continue. Gavin also has discovered how to wave "by-by" and speak in his own language. We love to listen to him "giber-jaber". Some of my favorite memories in the last nine months are the times I spend nursing Gavin. He has discovered my face while nursing. He loves to try and put his fingers in my mouth and will giggle and laugh as I pretend to bit or suck on his fingers. He also has discovered that his fingers are the perfect fit inside my nostrils, and most recently he has discovered my eyelashes. He loves to rub his little fingers up and down on my eyelashes. Everyday I look forward to our time together nursing and just love looking into his big blues eye!

Our little eater!!
These days I spend a lot of time feeding Gavin and I love it! Gavin is still eating some purred baby food, but mostly he likes to feed himself. Now that he has mastered using his little fingers to pick-up just about anything we have finger food at each meal. Obviously, with him feeding himself it takes a LOT longer to finish eating! It is so much fun watching him explore new food and new ways to eat the food. Gavin by far loves cheese, bananas, blueberries and avocado the most. He can eat a whole avocado and banana by himself no problem....and I think he would just keep eating cheese all day if I would let him.
Gavin also loves to feed himself with his spoon!
Easter Weekend
Ok, I know I have no excuse for not keeping up with the blog.....so here I am again playing catch-up. Well, easter weekend was wonderful seeing all our family. However, not so good for my boys. Both Gavin and Courtney got sick. It started out Saturday morning when Gavin starting running a fever that lasted until Tuesday morning. The poor little guy didn't want to hunt for easter eggs or even open his easter baskets.....he just wanted to be held (which we all had NO problem doing). Who doesn't love holding a cuddly baby! Then on the ride home Courtney got sick and was home for two days with the flu we think. Luckily I did not get sick and everyone was back to normal by Wednesday. Even though the boys were not feeling well.....we did enjoy some great family time!
Sunday morning we made "little chick" deviled eggs before heading over to grandpa and grandma's house and opened Gavin's easter baskets. Thanks GiGi for the wonderful gifts! Gavin loves his new easter books.
Celebrating Easter with all of my mom's family at grandpa and grandma Olson's house. Gavin did pretty well considering he was running a 101 degree fever.
After celebrating at my grandparents house we headed up to Sumner to finish celebrating easter with Courtney's family. Gavin got to spend some time with his cousins: Kasey, Cael, Cristian, Brayden, and Garrett! Garrett loved Gavin and could not stop kissing him....Gavin was not so sure about it.
And finally here are some pictures of my sweet baby boy not feeling very good.....he still managed to put a smile on his face for the camera. What a little ham!

Gavin's 6 months Pictures
I decided to have some quick pictures taken of Gavin when he was 6 months old (actually he was 6 1/2 months....I wanted him to be able to sit on his own for the pictures). Well, I just got them back and thought I should share them....
We think he is the cutest thing EVER!!! I know we are biased! :)

7 months and ready for Spring!
Well, here I am again playing catch up....we have been fairly busy this month with company visiting. It has been wonderfully seeing our parents, and friends over the past few weeks. However, it seems like the minute the weather warms up then we get hit with another snow storm. So, needless to say Gavin and I are ready for spring and to get out of the house, but thankfully all of our company has helped keep our mind off of the weather.
Three weeks ago our good friends the Tupmans came to visit....they live in Joplin and we certainly miss seeing them now that we are in KC. Addalyn, their little girl (who just turned one) is so much fun!! I love watching her and Gavin interact. Our plan is for them to some day be boyfriend/girlfriend....Gavin already can't stop starring at her when she is around! Now, of course I can't forget about Aaden their crazy two year old....it was like a tornado went through the house when they were here. I guess I should get used to it, it won't be long before Gavin will be taring around the house with toys everywhere. LOL
Two weeks ago Pat and Rose came to visit as they were heading back to Iowa from Florida. It is always nice when our parents are able to come visit and see Gavin. Spending time with grandparents is SOOO important! I know as a child I loved visiting my grandparents and have a wonderful relationship with them today. Gavin is so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents! I know someday he will have just as special of a relationship with his grandparents as I did with mine.
Ok, here are some random fun photos to catch you up on what our little guy has been up to for the past few weeks.

Gavin loves looking out the front door as he and I wait for Dad to get home from work....
Gavin jumping in his "new" jumperoo that mom got for only $25!!! Yay me!!!
Gavin loves to eat....here he is enjoying his cinnamon apples and pears for breakfast
Well, at 7 months my little man is growing into a little boy. I just love his sweet personality. Gavin loves sitting and playing with his toys and LOVES to stand holding on to something. He still is not crawling.....and I'm totally ok with that! Gavin loves to eat and is eating 3 meals a day now. Some of his favorite foods are bananas, avocado, and cheese! He is starting to use his hands more, but still working on using his pincher fingers to grab the food on his tray. We are still nursing full time, and are no longer nursing at night, so we are only nursing 5 times a day now. I feel so blessed that I have been able to nurse him this long, I truly enjoy that time we spend together everyday!!! Here are some fun pictures of our little 7 month old! Happy 7 months Gavin....we love you to pieces!

Read-n-Play
These days Gavin enjoys reading books along with eating the books, and he also enjoys any type of toy ball....soccer balls, basketballs, small plastic balls, etc. So, here are some fun pics of our little cutie enjoying some of his favorites!
